“Say That!”

Say That!Directed and performed by Cristal Sabbagh in collaboration with Anida Yoeu Esguerra, Rachel Finan, Keiko Johnson, Clover Morell, and Andrea Wukitsch.This ensemble piece is inspired by the stereotypes of women and their lasting effects on ourselves and society. These personal and public effects will be experienced in a durational performance, activated by the audience. Movement inspired by Butoh, improvisation and gesture will work in tandem with memories, myths, and emotions. Site Unseen returns for its third year with all-new site-specific performances and installations created for the spaces and architecture of the Chicago Cultural Center. Julie Laffin curates this multi-disciplinary performance festival highlighting individual artists and ensembles working in performance, dance, music, sound, media, and visual art.

Other participating artists include: Annette Barbier and Drew Browning, Roslyn Broder, Nathan Butler, Justin Cooper, Joan Dickinson, Industry of the Ordinary, Mark Jeffery and Judd Morrissey, Ginger Krebs, Matthew Owens, Plasticene, and Sarah Schnadt.
