The Conference
The 2nd National Asian American Student Conference (NAASCon) is finally here! After hosting the first national conference on the West Coast, NAASCon is headed to the Midwest— a thriving region for Asian Pacific Americans (APA).
NAASCon is an active APA student political organization that was created by and for students. Founded in 2001, it was formed with the mission of educating, fostering dialogue, and mobilizing students through proactive campaigns across the country on issues of importance facing the APA community.

The 11th Annual Chicago Asian American Jazz Festival
October 13-21, 2006Building on the tremendous success of last year's 10th Anniversary celebration, this year’s 11th Annual Chicago Asian American Jazz Festival will present yet another exciting series of performances spanning two weeks and 4 venues throughout Chicago.
Featuring the finest in contemporary Asian American music created by Chicago-resident, national and internationally acclaimed Asian American artists and their collaborators, the AAJF highlights new and relevant music that combine elements of Jazz, traditional Asian music, rock, hip hop, spoken word, experimental music and more, representing the Asian American experience through music. The AAJF has been hailed as "a crowning event on the city's cultural calendar." (Chicago Tribune)
